Edible Traffic Light Painting

This week in our preschool we are learning all about 'Transportation'!  As part of our learning we painted a traffic light with edible paint!  The kids loved painting, tasting and painting more!
The paint recipe is super easy, and it dries shiny!

Traffic Light Cookies

This week in our preschool we are learning about our community! I thought it would be fun to have a community looking snack, so we made Traffic Light Cookies! They were so fun! Along with talking about traffic lights and how they keep us safe, we talked about the shapes (rectangle and circles) and colors (brown, white, red, green, yellow).

I also wanted to encourage independence, so I made a recipe card with pictures for the kids to follow. So fun and easy!

Engine, Engine #9

What you'll need: Raspberry Zingers, mini Oreo's

Put the zinger on a plate and add the wheels (easy, peasy lemon squeezie!)

While you're at it, give the kids some pretzel sticks and let them make the fireman's ladder!

* I also thought this looks like a race car (Lightning McQueen!)

The Wheels on the Bus

Here's what you'll need: (Twinkies, mini Oreo's and icing - for the creative types)

Pull out the Twinkies and place it on a plate, add the 'wheels' (oreos) and let the kids go crazy putting on the windows, doors, etc.
