Corn Puff Treat

... or as I lovingly refer to it - the Packing Peanuts Treat! So Yummy!

Here's what you need: Corn Pops (not to be confused with the cereal - these look like packing peanuts), light corn syrup, sugar, and butter

Here's what you do: (brought to you by the #2) ;)

Put 2 cubes butter, 2 cups sugar, and 2 cups light corn syrup in large heavy pan, bring to boil and let boil 2 minutes stirring constantly (only 2 minutes!). Pour over whole large sack of corn pops, stir and you're done!

I'm so glad you posted this!
I was given some on a goody plate for christmas and had NO clue what they were. Now I do! Thanks! I loved them ad can't wait to make them myself. :)

Where in the store will I find the Corn Pops?

The only corn pops i've seen here in Australia are the cereal. They look like rice bubbles (rice krispies) could you use those instead?

sugarfairy -
these have no flavor and are a bit salted. It think its the salt that mixes with the sugar to get that yummy taste on these. but if you do try the corn pops cereal let us all know how it turns out!

I love this and have been making this treat for years! It's very addicting and my kids love for me to make it! Some states don't sell the corn puffs. There are a few off brands available now too. Check your associated food stores. I love your blog! Thanks for keeping our week fun with so many fun things to try!

I just compared my recipe to yours and it's the same except for I'm a huge fan of vanilla. I use a couple tablespoons.

I did this once but added dried fruit and formed it into a corn shape to make Indian corn. B @ http://frymanfour.blogspot.com
