Ice Cream in a Bag

What you'll need: 1 cup half & half, 2 Tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, rock salt, small and large freezer bags and 2/3 cups ice.

Add half & half, sugar and vanilla to a small freezer bag, seal and place in large freezer bag with ice in it. Seal the large bag and shake until ice cream is frozen (about 10 minutes).

FYI: I like to put the ice and small freezer bag in a twist and seal container and let the kids kick it and roll it around...much more fun that way. And they also sell play and freeze balls made just for making home-made ice cream! But be aware - the salt will scratch the plastic! :)
